The Initial Mass Function in the Galactic Centerheoretical grounds. I will discuss these recent results, along with evidence for star formation in the immediate vicinity of the super massive black hole at the Galactic Center. The results of this work might be useful in extrapolating to other galactic centers with similar conditions, as well as other starburst regions.

Nearby Dusty Starbursts and have extremely high star forming efficiency. Further advances will require improvements in the way boundary conditions such as bolometric and K-band luminosity, ionizing star effective temperature, and supernova rate are estimated and applied in the models.

Evidence in Favour of IMF Variationse empirical evidence that the IMF varies with time, with environment, and for all stellar masses. While I see no obvious systematic trend in most regions of our Galaxy, there is at least an indication that the IMF is biased towards more massive stars in the early universe and in starbursts.
