To those that did care, i.e. the rest of the world, it was nothing more than a corporate sell out: FIFA had lost its mind … how could it be hosted in the States? … what did they know about “Football”? … it’s all about money, a farce, a joke, but I suppose at least a joke with benefits … we get to go to Disneyland and Las Vegas.
