Die Bulimie vor ihrem Boom: empirische Befunde zur Entwicklung des Bulimiesyndromsm in seiner Häufigkeit signifikant zugenommen, während gleichzeitig das Körpergewicht der Patientinnen abgenommen hat. Beide Veränderungen werden im Zusammenhang mit dem seit Ende der 60er Jahre sich wandelnden weiblichen Körperideal interpretiert, das zum kulturellen Hintergrund der bulimischen Eßstörung in ihrer heutigen Form gehört.

Spezielle Einrichtungen für Psychosomatik versus psychosomatische Einrichtungen an organmedizinischeAnhand zweier empirischer Studien, die 1987 in Österreich fertiggestellt wurden, wird auf der Makroebene die Struktur der Versorgung im Bereich der Psychosomatik in Österreich dargestellt.
