Design of UHF RFID Tag with On-Chip Antenna, to overcome the reading range limitation. The measured reading range is raised to about 3 m in free space with 1 W RF power output of the reader. As there is no physical connection between the chip die and the off-chip far-field antenna, this structure can be used as an economical and convenient method for RFID tag packaging.
