New Method of Iris Recognition Using Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform which we applied dual-tree complex wavelet transform (DTCWT). In order to compute features, we used the average energy of all the DTCWT coefficients for each subimage. We compared the feature vectors using the Euclidean and the Hamming distances. Our results are comparable to those obtained with Daugman’s algorithm.

Fast Fingerprint Orientation Field Estimation Incorporating General Purpose GPU by incorporating a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) capability to the traditional pixel gradient method. The simulation work shows a significant enhancement in ridge orientation estimation time by 6.41. using a general purpose GPU in comparison to the CPU execution.

Rotation Invariant Texture Retrieval Using Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform mean of the coefficients computed with the DTCWT. Sorting the feature vectors before comparing them is an important stage toward rotation invariance. Our tests proved to return high-accuracy rotated texture retrieval rates (100 % for a dataset with 13 texture images and up to 98.5 % for 112 textures), better than other reported results.
