Insomnia in Pregnancytimes per week for at least 1 month (Am Fam Physician, 92(12):1058–1064, 2015). Identifying the predisposing, precipitating, and perpetuating factors will facilitate treatment. Developing the skills for managing insomnia in pregnancy with non-pharmacologic interventions is highly recommended, as medication safety is not well-established.
