Population Models Incorporating Physiological Structure: A Quick Survey of the Basic Concepts and anthe ideas in Kooijman and Metz (1984). Although admittedly considerably simplified, this model appears to be able to generate all three types of observed . population behavior distinguished by Murdoch and McCauley (1985), a feat not (yet) reproduced by any of its competitors.
