Polar curves, resolution of singularities and the filtered mixed hodge structure on the vanishing cn associated to its Milnor fibration. In this paper we give proofs of most of these results and investigate the relation between the polar filtration of the Milnor fibre and the mixed Hodge structure on its cohomology.
