In this chapter, we exploit the spatial information available from signals picked up by a determined number of microphones at different positions in the acoustics space in order to mitigate the noise effect. General Concept with Filtering Vectors,In this chapter, we explain the principle of variable span (VS) linear filters and show how it can be applied to the signal enhancement problem.
