Multidirectional Instability: Suture Plication Technique with anterior and/or posterior instability. Although Matsen has characterized MDI as atraumatic in etiology, others have noted an association between MDI and repetitive trauma. Recent attention on the rotator interval has suggested its possible role in MDI as well.
