On the other hand, the ZrO. undergoes only phase transformation from cubic to monoclinic structure and Ce.Zr.O.in fluorite cubic phase changes to pyrochlore (Ce.Zr.O.) phase by releasing oxygen from the lattice due to heterogeneous catalytic surface reaction.
