Free Boundary Problems in Geochemistry,Two important examples arising in geochemistry are modelled as moving free boundary problems. The shape stability of these moving reaction fronts is studied using matched asymptotics, functional analysis, bifurcation and stability theory and numerical simulation.

We will also need to review some optimization methods and the finite element method (FEM).
