Operators as Featuresin a way which might be more accommodating to natural language syntax. I shall attempt to do this in stages and in this chapter I shall make a rather modest start by producing a syntax which deals with the extra argument places of relational nouns.

Eventualitiese of domains (by the .operators) in which the quantifiers in the consequent are evaluated. One of my aims in the present chapter is to look at the possibility that quantification over higher-order entities, of the kind made possible by some of the techniques used in the last chapter, could be involved in evaluating . sentences.
