Malignant Tumors of the Cecum,The cecum, the blind proximal end of the colon, originates at the most proximal portion of the right colon and extends to the distal junction of the ileocecal valve. It is the portion of the colon with the widest diameter and is barely involved in the propulsion of the intestinal content.
