Performing Large-Scale Data Processingng that assumes multiple available servers, but you don’t need to max out the individual servers with memory and other resources. Specifically, we are going to use the distributed map/reduce algorithm as implemented in the Hadoop open source project (http://hadoop.apache.org). Hadoop is based on Google’s distributed map/reduce system.
