Theory of Exact Exchange Relations for a Single Excited Stateidity of Kato’s theorem along the adiabatic path is discussed. Exchange identities are derive dutilizing the principle of adiabatic connection and coordinate scaling. A generalized ‘Koopmans’ theorem’ is derived.
