Man and Society,nce man is social prior to being individual, the study of man necessarily and intrinsically includes the study of the social nature of man. Furthermore, both anthropology and sociology must be renovated according to the phenomenological criteria demanded for all strict sciences.

Scheler on Philosophy,fully and critically in itself to discover where the real lines of inner unity and consistency lie. A comprehensive study of Scheler’s phenomenology of community must attempt to understand this topic within the context of his total philosophy.

Man and Community, “social feelings” are those of sympathy, shame and love. Love, however, occurs only at the strictly transcendental level of persons who live together in person-community. Scheler’s entire theory of man, sociology and religion reaches its climax in his description of person-community living together with love and within salvational solidarity.
