The Differences between Gnosticism and Fundamentalism significant and substantive. But, as with all religious movements and phenomena, there are differences. Not surprisingly, some of these variances occur in the same areas of similarity. They represent nuances and shades of diversity along related themes.

The Case against Inerrancy. Its central position in Fundamentalism plus its lack of incarnational meaning are the linchpins of this chapter. The intent is not to argue points. The purpose is to draw alternative perspectives, offer varying viewpoints, and provide information to those struggling in the development and formation of their own personal faith system.

Revival of the Gnostic Heresychanged very little. This has been the general consensus in the numerous books and papers researched for this project. One book in particular caught my attention. It contained portions of a dialogue between Tobias Churton and Hans Jonas, names that might not resonate with the reader but are well known in religious studies.
