Vibronic Spectra of Molecular Crystals: Dynamic Theory and Comparison with Experimentciton absorption spectra. Therefore, it allowes us to describe from a unified point of view the extensive experimental data on the spectra of perfect and doped crystals. As an example, the interpretation of the vibronic spectrum of naphthalene crystal is discussed briefly in the framework of the dynamic theory.

These are large Stokes shifts in optical transitions, recombination enhanced defect motion, self-trapping at an impurity and capture by multiphonon emission. All of the processes mentioned above are briefly reviewed, and for capture by multiphonon emission, a detailed model is presented.
