Use of Positron Emission Tomography to Study Patterns of Brain Metabolism in Relation to Age and Dichildhood onset autism, and in the healthy elderly. Such comparisons ignore an important dimension of brain metabolism, namely patterns of regional cerebral metabolic rates. This paper shows that a correlation matrix approach can be used to determine these patterns, and to relate them to underlying functional neuroanatomy in health and disease.

Experimental Models of Ischemia,Ischemia is an insult to brain tissue which commonly accompanies diseases of the central nervous system. Stroke, head injury, hydrocephalus intracranial hypertension and space occupying lesions may result in damage to the brain tissue, attributable to impairment of cerebral circulation.
