A Theoretical Foundation for Cooperative Search, Classification, and Target Attack,perative target engagement are addressed. A general approach for defining task benefits for cooperative behavior algorithms is presented, and methods for implementation are discussed. While the discussion in this chapter is limited to a single warhead munition or Unmanned Air Vehicles, the results can be extended to include the multi-warhead case.

Distributed Agreement Strategies for Cooperative Control, of optimal agreement strategy, discuss its complexity, and compare, via Monte Carlo simulations, its performance to our computationally tractable “heuristic” approach. This shows that our heuristic approach compares favorably with an optimal solution, yet is scalable for more sophisticated cooperative control problems.
