Cultivating CompassionFor me, social justice is not, and never has been, an abstraction. I experienced injustice very early in my life, when my father was arrested simply because he happened to be Jewish. On Crystal Night, so called because of all the glass shattered in Jewish homes, businesses, and synagogues that night a gang of Gestapo men broke into our home.
