Introduction to ‘Preestablished Harmony’ and ‘Response to Gary Ebbs’ds to Ebbs (1994), my review of Quine (1992), the revised edition of his book .. A few days later Quine sent me another short paper titled ‘Response to Gary Ebbs’ and a brief cover letter in which he wrote:
