The laboratory energy of the neutrino is then more than a few MeV for purely leptonic interactions on electrons, and a few GeV or more for semileptonic interactions on nucleon targets.

QED at High Energies,PEP, the energy range for e.e. collisions is extended from s = 4E. = 100 GeV. to 1600 GeV.. With LEP, hopefully in operation in the coming decade, s will eventually reach 4 × 10. GeV.. It is important to keep on testing the validity of QED in these new regions of s for several reasons.
