,Spin–Orbit Interaction Features in Near-Threshold Photoionization Dynamics: An Energy- and Angle-Detudy of Wigner–Eisenbud–Smith (WES) time delay in the photoionization of Xe 4. subshell in the near-threshold region is presented and discussed. We show that the Spin–Orbit Interaction Activated Interchannel Coupling (SOIAIC) produces a prominent resonance-like structure in the WES time delay spectrum.
