Andrzej Wajda’s Vision of One Country’s Past and Presentf Polish society. Or perhaps the phrase ‘social and cultural dilemmas’ has too pretentious a ring. Would it not be less high-flown to seek in Wajda’s films a reflection of a certain country and its life, concerns and dramas?
