,The Disintegration of Amin’s Regime (1977–79), organised against the regime. In the circumstances it seemed unlikely that Amin’s regime could be overthrown except by external military action. This eventually happened in 1979, when Ugandan exile forces, fighting alongside the Tanzanian Defence Forces, ousted the regime.
