Timo Baldewein,Carsten Keller constructed using edge detection algorithm followed by the proposed edge width estimation algorithm. Then full defocus map is obtained by propagating the blur amount at edge locations to the entire image. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method in providing a reliable estimation of the defocus map.
