Comparison of massively parallel SIMD computers using air pollution models,alistic large-scale model, we gain detailled insight about the performance of the involved computers when used to solve large-scale scientific problems that involve several types of numerical computations. The computers involved in our study are the Connection Machines CM-200 and CM-5, and the MasPar MP-2216.
