Effects of Correlation and Disorder on the Electronic Properties of RBa2 Cu3 O6+xn power diffraction studies have revealed that the YBa.Cu.O. system is an oxygen deficient perovskite with two CuO. planes and a CuO. (O≤x≤l) plane, which for x=1 and at low temperatures consists of linear chains of Cu and O atoms.

States of Oxygen Ordering in YBa2Cu3OzThe compound YBa.Cu.O. (1-2-3) was the first one whose superconducting transition temperature exceeded the technologically important temperature of 77K.. Actually, the 1-2-3 compound at close to oxygen stoichiometry z=7 became superconducting at about T.=90K, with T. dropping by increments as z decreased from the value 7.

Superconducting Phase Diagram of a High Tc CeramicIn this work we focus our attention on the magnetic response of the superconducting state of high T. ceramic materials. The superconducting granularity of La-Sr-Cu-O ceramics is controlled by small changes of oxygen concentration. The experimental results show evidence of a hierarchy of weak links connecting superconducting islands.

Oxygen Disorder Effects in High Tc Superconductors, 1989When I was asked to prepare a summary I tried to recommend someone else to summarize this fine conference. I used to argument that I didn’t understand high T.-superconductivity. However, this was not accepted as an exclusive argument.
