However, this method has been associated with pseudarthrosis in the short to middle term and bone resorption in the long term. Here we show its actual application and the results, with special focus on failure and long-term survival. Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy Developed in JapanJapan, and the study found the possibility to rescue poor responders. Such strategies, however, have not been verified by RCT yet. Now additional effects of ifosfamide (IFO) to postoperative chemotherapy for poor responders after preoperative chemotherapy and surgery are just tested by two RCTs.
