Periodic Self-Excited Oscillationsstable against both external disturbances and changes in the initial conditions. Systems which can generate such oscillations were called self-excited oscillating systems by A.A. Andronov some 50 years ago. He was the first to define them rigorously mathematically by linking self-excited oscillations with limiting Poincare cycles .
