Optimal Control Problem,s determine a search space of decision (optimisation) variables whose time evolutions or values are searched for. Process model function ties inputs, states and outputs of the process together and determines a search domain for optimisation procedure in a similar way the constraint functions do.

Conclusions and Future Research,e optimal operation is characterised completely and uniquely as a function of process state. For the general process we proposed a numerical solution procedure using which the complexity of identification of the optimal operation is dramatically reduced in comparison to the former optimal control problem.
