Twin-image Elimination in Digital In-line HolographyA new method for twin-image elimination based on the principle of off-axis reconstruction of in-line holograms is presented in this paper. Simulated and experimental results show that undisturbed reconstructed real images can be obtained by this method.

Optical Reproduction of Sounds from Negative Phonograph Cylindersalled galvanos, for which the traditional phonograph cannot be used. To this end, a compact optical head consisting of a laser diode, a position sensitive device, and illumination and detection optics was developed together with drive and control units. Some valuable sounds were reproduced successfully by this system.
