Blocking Performance of Wavelength-routing Networksder dynamic Poisson traffic is presented. The model has a modest complexity and good accuracy, and is applicable to arbitrary mesh topologies with arbitrary wavelength converter locations, and arbitrary network state-independent routing, with random wavelength assignment.

Design and Analysis of a Media Access Protocol for Star Coupled WDM Networks with TT-TR Architecture-less communication. The proposed approach is compared to an earlier protocol based on one tunable transmitter and one fixed receiver (TT-FR) per node. The performance of the protocol in terms of average latency and channel utilization is analyzed for varying system characteristics such as number of nodes, channels, and levels.

Hitless Switching in a Data-centric WDM Optical Networkand lower bounds on the number of wavelengths needed at the WDM layer for such a hitless reconfiguration are found and two wavelength assignment heuristic algorithms are proposed. These heuristic algorithms are then implemented and their results are compared with the lower and upper bounds.
