Two-Dimensional Wind Flow over Buildings,The incompressible Navier-Stokes equations are solved in a two-dimensional domain which corresponds to a special building shape. The numerical method we use is the random vortex method developed by Chorin because the problem is characterized by a high Reynolds number. Streakline diagrams are presented to illustrate a typical wind flow.

Parallelization of Robust Multi-Grid Methods: ILU Factorization and Frequency Decomposition Method,re described: the standard multi-grid algorithm with ILU smoothing, and the frequency decomposition method. The parallelization on a MIMD computer is presented, together with results for the speedup obtained. The methods are compared with a standard parallel multi-grid algorithm using a Gauß-Seidel red-black smoother.

A Finite Volume Discretization with Improved Accuracy for the Compressible Navier-Stokes Equations,ady-state compressible Navier-Stokes equations. The scheme is almost free of numerical diffusion, even on highly distorted grids, while still relatively easy to program. It is therefore considered to be a useful compromise for Navier-Stokes calculations.

Analysis and Application of A Line Solver for the Recirculating Flows Using Multigrid Methods,ne Solver), is based on the SCGS scheme. The technique is applied to the driven cavity problem for the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. A Fourier analysis of this technique is carried out. The scheme is simple and easy to programme. The rates of convergence and the computational times are reported for the test case.
