Some Types of Partial Differential Operators and Associated Well-Posed Problems,es we will discuss certain types of problems which are frequently encountered in practice in order to provide adequate background for their numerical treatment. The discussion will be confined to linear operators since nonlinearity introduces a host of difficulties which require special treatment in each particular case.
