Relationship between NMR 29Si Chemical Shifts and FT-IR Wave Numbers in Calcium Silicateselation shows a good correlation with R = 0.86 for the hydrates and 0.99 for the anhydrates. The results indicate that the higher the polymerization or condensation of silicate tetrahedra the higher the IR wave number and the lower the NMR chemical shift value.
