Sol-Gel Derived Composite Ceramic Carbon Biosensors,l-gel silicates, organically modified silicates, or other metal oxide binding networks. Inorganic, organic or biochemical moieties can be incorporated by sol-gel doping, impregnated on pre-prepared CCEs, or introduced as organofunctional groups of the sol-gel monomer.
