Phyllospheric Nitrogen Fixing Bacteria in Tillandsia Leaves on leaves put on enrichment cultures only. The effect of some terrestrial oligochaeta on nitrogenase activity in the soilorms. The worms and casts were separately assayed for nitrogenase activity. The results indicated that nitrogenase activity was associated with gut content or body surface of worms and also their casts.
