Circulating Loop Experiments on Solitons with Periodic Dispersion ManagementWe characterize the performance of long-haul 10 Gbit/s optical communication systems using stationary optical band-pass filters and periodic dispersion management. We have found for low values of path-averaged dispersion in a strong dispersion-managed system the pulse energy and dynamics are practically independent of path-averaged dispersion.
