Validation for a Polyatomic Model in a Fokker-Planck Solver Based on the Extended Master Equation Anl fits of experimentally measured heat capacity. An analytical solution based on the master equation ansatz is derived and the convergence of the Fokker-Planck solution towards it is shown. Deviations between the analytical and the reference solution are pointed out and explained.
