Cold Dust Signatures on SNR Gamma Ray Spectranchrotron emission in many cases. Whereas the dust temperature and magnetic field strength associated with young remnants are relatively high, we find that the older remnants are usually associated with colder dust and lower field strengths (Dwek & Arendt 1992; Reynolds & Ellison 1992).

Studies of NIR Dust Absorption Features in the Nuclei of Active and IRAS GalaxiesWe present the first survey of the 3.4.m hydrocarbon absorption feature in active and IRAS galaxies. Comparison of our data with galactic studies of this feature provides insight into the nature of dust grains around active nuclei, and holds the potential to improve our understanding of interstellar dust.
