The Role Of 3′,5′-Cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate in the Regulation of Adrenal Medullary Functione was provided by Axelrod (1971) by showing that tyrosine hydroxylase activity is regulated transynaptically, the other by Kvetnansky and collaborators (1971) by showing that the injection of dibutyryl cyclic AMP restores the activity of tyrosine hydroxylase in hypophysectomized animals.

Neuronal Uptake of Neurotransmitters and their Precursors: Studies with “Transmitter” Amino Acids an as catecholamines, serotonin and GABA, these uptake systems are studied with a view to characterizing the synaptic behavior of the transmitter in question. With more questionable transmitter candidates, such as the amino acids, before characterizing subtleties of their synaptic activities, it is cr

Recent Studies on the Binding of Opiate Narcotics to Possible Receptor Sites1961, Dr. Dora B. Goldstein and I (1961) proposed a unitary theory of tolerance and dependence, based upon the Jacob-Monod (1961) concepts of repression and derepression of protein synthesis as fundamental mechanisms of biochemical regulation. In the same year, Shuster (1961) advanced virtually the
