Using Artificial Recurrent Neural Nets to Identify Spectral and Spatial Patterns for Satellite Imagn the resultant image, and automatically classifies it into land use classes. Both classifiers are implemented on artificial recurrent neural networks inspired by Carpenter and Grossberg’s adaptive resonance theory (ART).

Dynamic Segmentation of Satellite Images Using Pulsed Coupled Neural Networks,time. Using the pulsed time-of-arrival as the information carrier, the image is reduced to a time signal which allows an intelligent filtering using feedback. A multi-layer implementation of the model is presented that shows good segmentation results and is easily adaptable to multispectral imagery.
