Variational Monte-Carlo Method for Strongly Interacting Electronsn Hamiltonians. Its advantages are clear. It allows the essentially exact evaluation of matrix elements of wavefunctions which have strong shortrange correlations explicitly built in to them. The Role of Fermi Surface Anisotropies in Heavy-Fermion Superconductorsading to a second phase transition within the superconducting state. In CeCu.Si., those parts of the Fermi surface which do not participate in superconductivity down to the lowest temperatures carry a small effective mass. The influence of impurities on the Fermi-surface anisotropy is discussed.
