Interfacing,This chapter is the first of three which describe how memory and peripheral devices can be interfaced to microprocessors. These interfaces allow, for example, the microprocessor to read its instructions from memory or, say, to write to some peripheral; that is, data transfers occur across the bus between the microprocessor and some other device.

Afterword,This book has described various aspects of microprocessor systems, using a top down approach in which the concepts are introduced and then the topics are examined in more detail. The three topics covered are logic, hardware and software.
