Cottonid, hydrate cellulose is the treatment of cellulose fibers, e.g. in case of Cottonid provided in the form of linter paper, with an externally applied chemical reagent. The materials can be mainly differentiated by the type and condition of the reagent, i.e. by the state of cellulose modification.
