Mechanical Fatigue Failuremes a DE cannot or did not definitively identify the type of fatigue responsible for the failure that was observed in the field. In such a situation, the relevant DE is reported in the mechanical fatigue failure chapter, even if we think that we may be facing thermal fatigue.
