Thin-Layer Based Devices,ls. Principles of operation of fluxgate sensors in different configurations (Vacquier, Foerster, ring-core) are discussed. Moreover the idea of magnetic concentrator, based on the thin layer material, is analysed. Finally, the naval vessel’s hulls are described as the thin layer objects, from the point of view of their magnetic signatures.

Possibility of the use of open source software for these processes is discussed. Finally, the advantages of the method of moments are presented in the case of modelling the thin layers.
